I was one of those kids who always was into building things. Growing up I would always help my Dad whenever he was building something. I would learn by watching and helping, very hands on.
I didn’t know it at the time but this “education” would help me later in life.
I started working part-time when I was 14 and was always interested in how successful businesses were run.
I always liked meeting new people and helping them.
This continued later on when I started working full time…
…but I hated cold calling, prospecting, and attending networking meetings…where you were required to bring leads for the other members.
I started to search for a better way and found out about something called Direct Response Marketing.
I then began to study everything that I could get my hands on about business and marketing, including some timeless classics from people like David Oglivy (who Time magazine called “the most sought-after wizard in the advertising industry”.), John Caples, Victor Schwab, Jay Abraham (who forbes magazine listed as one of the top 5 executive coaches in the US), and Michael Gerber (famous author of the E-Myth series of books).
I put some of these marketing principles into place and started to have prospects coming to me instead of having to constantly be looking for my next client.
Around this same time the internet was exploding and more and more people were feeling more comfortable about making purchases online.
So I started taking courses in building websites and doing online marketing.
I searched for the top people in the industry so that I could learn from the best. I spent countless hours and many late nights studying this information.
I then started by making websites for myself, and applying the same direct response marketing principles that had worked effectively before.
Then some of my friends were seeing what I was doing and the success that I was having and asked me to do some work for them.
As they were happy with the work and results that I was getting for them, they started referring other people to me and it started to snowball from there.
Now I focus on helping business owners represent themselves and their brand online and get more customers to provide their products and services to.
